Having a sawmill can make things easier in the moments of need. You could even start your own furniture business making outdoor furniture such as picnic tables or Adirondack chairs. This here table was made 20 years ago and the base was in desperate need of new life living full time in the weather. Salvaging the seats and tops. Saw milling some timbers destined for firewood, brought it back to a new life. Perhaps another 20 more years. You only have to sit at a well built picnic table to say this is how they all should be made.

Alan shared he Uniforest grapple he purchased today. Impressed with the build quality, compared to much of the others out on the market. It makes buying a piece of equipment easier knowing it will hold up to the job planned. Being a Veteran (thank you for your service!) got a decent veteran discount. We are a veteran owned business and always appreciate those who serve.

When cutting lumber and your going for one particular board. Saving cants is a great way to max out your blade life with cutting more with less cuts. I am demonstrating here how to plan out your cants for maximum lumber production. 21 boards in 6 cuts producing 126 board feet of lumber.

What did I do with a Uniforest grapple today? Well I used it to make a Jib-pole to elevate 250 lbs rafters 16’ into the air, to place them on the building. I moved 40’ poles up a 15’ wide driveway without dragging them in the dirt. The things you can do far exceed just skidding and placing rocks. Getting things done is all about the tools in the toolbox.
