Good morning!

First of all, we would like to say that our thoughts and prayers are with all of the residents that received damage to their property yesterday either due to high water, wind damage or from the possible tornado in the Eden Isles area. 🙏🙏🙏

Yesterday was a very challenging day trying to service routes, especially on the East side of the Parish. We would like to give a SHOUT OUT to our Team Members and say THANK YOU! While we were not able to service some areas due to high water, it was not from a lack of effort. The Drivers, Hoppers, Mechanics, and the entire Operations Team are our heroes! They are very dedicated and very committed to always getting the job done.

We are servicing our regular Friday routes today. We will service the areas that we are able to access. There are streets in Eden Isles that we may not be able to access at this time. If we are not able to access some of the streets today, we will try to service those areas on your next collection day. We will try to post an update later this afternoon with the areas we were not able to access.

Good afternoon!

Due to the several rounds of rain and the flooded streets across East St. Tammany Parish, and for the Safety of our TEAM MEMBERS, we have made the decision to pull our Drivers back to the yard and cancel services for the remainder of the day.

We are very thankful for our team members that have been out in this weather since 5am doing their best to try and service their routes. They are our heroes!

For the areas that are Monday and Thursday pick up, and if we’re unable to service you today, we will be back on Monday for regular service.

Good morning!

The majority of our Drivers are out in the field and have started their routes. Some of the routes may be delayed due to the weather. Our Drivers have been instructed to pull over to a safe area while this heavy rain is taking place. We are also monitoring the flooding taking place in areas across the Northshore.

We are anticipating that the worst of the weather will be past us in the next couple of hours. Our Drivers will resume their routes once we feel it is safe for them to resume. Some streets may not be accessible due to flooding.

ATTENTION RESIDENTS IN THE CITY OF COVINGTON!

After speaking with officials with the City of Covington, and for the safety of our Team members, we are cancelling RECYCLING SERVICE for the City of Covington on Thursday June 18th. Due to the expected heavy rain and possible flooding, we made the decision along with the City officials that it would be best not to have big trucks on the streets possibly pushing water towards businesses and homes. It would also present unsafe driving conditions for our Team members.

We will resume recycling service next Thursday June 25th. Thank you for you patience and understanding.
