On August 8, 2026, Boone Township Fire Department was dispatched to a residential structure fire. Thankfully, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to all of the surrounding fire departments and agencies who responded and assisted us during this incident. Your support, teamwork, and professionalism were greatly appreciated.

We are grateful to have such dedicated neighboring departments willing to work alongside us when our community needs it most. Thank you to everyone who assisted in making this incident safer and more manageable for all involved.

Beginning on or around July 14, crews will begin road closure on State Road 11 near Elizabeth for a culvert replacement project.

If you come across a flooded roadway:
✅ Turn around and find another route.
✅ Never drive around barricades or through standing water.
✅ Remember that you can’t tell how deep the water is or if the road has been washed away beneath it.

No destination is worth risking your life. Make the safe choice—for yourself, your family, and the first responders who may have to rescue you.
