This is the Non-OSHA approved chest to "hip" positioning device.
Though it allows three, possibly four points of contact, one slip and we have a major Lost Time Incident. And an awkward explanation to the ER doctor.
Let us here at J. Schneider provide training on proper fall protection and positioning device techniques and avoid those potential uncomfortable rides to the ER.

Mr. Charlie, First Mobile Offshore Drilling Rig! 1954

Paving the way for our great oil and gas industry in the Gulf.

The world’s first mobile offshore drilling unit (MODU) began in the mind of World War II Navy veteran Alden “Doc” Laborde, who believed a self-sufficient oil rig could be placed on a barge for deeper offshore drilling. Laborde applied his naval experience to design and build the first submersible offshore drilling rig

Now a Museum
Location: Morgan City, on the banks of the Atchafalaya River.
Mission: To educate the public about the offshore oil and gas industry through the preservation and interpretation of the rig.
Experience: Visitors can walk aboard the rig and see interactive displays, with guided tours available.
Training: It also functions as a hands-on training facility for the industry.
