Just shy of her fifteen-year anniversary, Rose leaves behind a lasting mark on our Tennplasco family. A wonderful operator and a dedicated worker, she was someone we could always count on to get things done.

Rose was the glue that held our molding floor together—bringing employees together, keeping everyone on track, and making a difference every day. Her hard work, strong spirit, and care for her coworkers made her such a valued part of our team.

Position Title: Tooling Technician

POSITION SUMMARY:

Tooling Technicians are responsible for repairing a variety of tools as well as disassemble defective electrical equipment and assist in ordering materials and purchasing machine parts.

POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• All other duties assigned
• Uses tools and dies to build fixtures; creates dies as required to construct new fixtures
• Repairs dies, molds, and tools when needed; disassembles molds, jigs, tools, and fixtures, then reassembles when repaired
• Reads and understands blueprints and complicated schematics as required to create and build new fixtures, tools, and machine parts
• Uses computer-aided design (CAD) software to create designs and/or turn designs into blueprints
• Inspects completed tools and dies for signs of imperfection or damage that may affect functionality
• Regularly tests all equipment, tools, and machines to ensure they are arranged and set properly and working efficiently
• Modifies machines to control speed, material feed, or path of cut as required to ensure a quality product is produced within specifications
• Maintains a safe, clean, and well-organized workspace

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Successful completion of an apprentice program or experience in the field recommended
• On-the job training available

KNOWLEDGE

• Ability to read system schematics
• Advanced troubleshooting skills
• Understanding of safety and equipment procedures

Pay depending on experience.
