For those carrying a lot, this is a space to step out of the noise and be with the Lord in a real and unhurried way. Not intense. Just restful and guided.

Each retreat is different. The Lord meets you where you are, shaped by the season you’re in and those present.

This photo captured a moment from today that stuck with me.

Today we launched the first session of the 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐂𝐨𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭, a small group of business owners and leaders who desire to grow not only strategically in their leadership but spiritually as well.

When I look at this table, I notice the “mess.”

Papers everywhere. Pens and markers scattered across the table. Coffee cups. Water bottles. Notes. Reflection sheets.

And honestly, 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞.

𝐃𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐧𝐞𝐚𝐭.

It involves telling the truth about where you actually are spiritually, personally, and as a leader. It requires reflection, courage, prayer, conversation, and sometimes 𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬.

It can feel a little messy.

But it is 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠.

A couple things stood out to me today.

𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭, 𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫.
There is something powerful about doing this kind of work in a smaller circle. People open up more. The conversation goes deeper. Trust forms quickly. The learning becomes shared rather than theoretical.

𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝, 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬.
Many carry enormous responsibility. Decisions affect employees, families, organizations, and communities. Yet very few leaders are given a space to slow down and reflect on who they are becoming while they lead.

Today we created that space.

And it was a strong start.

𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲. Over the next ten months we will explore what it looks like to 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 in a real and practical way.

If today was any indication, it is going to be a meaningful journey.
And yes, it may stay a little messy along the way.

Less driven by urgency.
More 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝.
More 𝐚𝐭 𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞.
More 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 in how to pray and listen in their everyday lives.

If you keep waiting for a less busy season, it likely will not come. 𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝.

𝗔 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗪𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱

From the 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲, things 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 fine.
𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲, something 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝘀 a bit 𝗼𝗳𝗳. There's a constant 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻, 𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, and just 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲.

Many Christian leaders are competent, faithful, and carrying real responsibility—yet quietly living with stress, interior tension, or a sense of disconnection they can’t quite name.

That's a wrap!

What started as an invitation from the Lord during my own silent retreat a couple years ago, has now produced a series of these Sacred Silence Retreats producing beautiful fruit!

Closing this latest one with a heart filled with gratitude for all who said "Yes" to this one snd others - some attending more than once!

𝗝𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗱.

Plans fill calendars quickly. Expectations rise. And many leaders quietly feel the 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻 sooner than they hoped.

Not because they aren’t trying.
Not because they lack faith.
