Add a horse to a herd, or take one away, and the whole system recalibrates: roles shift, bonds re-form, order re-settles. No one panics; they adjust. Every reorg, every departure, every new hire is your team's version of that. Change isn't the enemy. Ungrounded change is. The main thing to remember is that it takes times, ans as a leader itworks better if you give your team enough time to work through the changes.

A herd's acceptance is a process. The new horse isn't hazed or rushed; it's read, tested for their skills. Is the horse a good safety provider? Or a good Baby sitter? There's a leadership lesson in that real inclusion is patient, embodied, and impossible to fake. You make space by being safe, not by announcing it. You let the team evaluate each other's strengths and weaknesses and then can assign roles that are a good fit.
