At 11:00 AM on August 22, the cars take a back seat.

Cruise Indy will pause for a formal Memorial Service honoring a WWII veteran and an Iraq war veteran, both killed in action, and the families who carry their memory forward.

This year's service will include:
Presentation of Colors by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Honor Guard
National Anthem performed by an active-duty service member in dress uniform
Guest speaker: the brother of the fallen Iraq veteran, who served alongside him and escorted him home
The Indy 500 Gordon Pipers Flyover featuring a Huey helicopter and a Bell H-13, carrying the uniforms and flags of both honored veterans 21-gun salute
Ringing of the Gold Star Mothers Memorial Bell Moment of Silence Taps, performed by a retired Air Force member from the Spirit of 45
The Folds of Honor ceremony that follows will feature the widow of the Iraq war veteran KIA, whose children are beneficiaries of the Folds of Honor Program.

Some events raise money. Cruise Indy raises the bar.

Now in its 7th year, Cruise Indy is a 501(c)(3) organization with a clear mission: give back to the families of those who gave everything. This year's goal is $100,000, up from $70,000 raised last year, with proceeds supporting Folds of Honor scholarships for the spouses and children of service members killed or disabled in the line of duty.

WNS Security is honored to be an event sponsor this year because we believe in what this event stands for.

Got a car, truck, or motorcycle worth showing off? Register it for the 2026 Cruise Indy Car Show.

All motor-powered vehicles are welcome — every make, model, and generation. Registration is $20, and the first 250 registered receive a dash plaque. Spots are first come, first served, and once the lot is full, that's a wrap. Day-of registration is available if space remains, but don't count on it.
