Great tip for warming up:

" This is the way I always start my ride and warm up almost all the horses I ride weather dressage or hunters this is great for all horses and helps a great amount.

I believe in letting them stretch their necks down before working, it also helps the muscles in their back to warm up. We have to think of horses needing to stretch as you would a dancer or a runner where the stretching is so important to help prevent injury.

Walking around on the buckle or on a loose rain for a while and then asking for the trot, riding at least 10 mins of trotting long and low allowing them to trot with their head stretching down and working those back and neck muscles.

Once I feel the horse is picking up more pace then I know they are warming up and are ready to start working. "
