Dear Members and Towing Community,

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Ricky Arnold.

He left us peacefully on Monday, the 15th of June, after a prolonged illness, and was laid to rest by his loving wife, Doris Arnold on Tuesday, the 16th of June.

We celebrate the life he so fully lived, and the many contributions he made to our industry. He deserves to be beautifully remembered.

I, his “crazy Cuban”, mourn the loss, and miss him terribly, as I remember he and I joined PWOF together, about 40 years ago, and had a great friendship of mutual trust and understanding.

Your support and kind words during this difficult time are greatly appreciated, as we offer Doris and the entire Arnold family our most sincere condolences.

THREE YEARS. STILL NO JUSTICE. NOW THE CLOCK STARTS.

COWETA COUNTY, GEORGIA —
After more than three years of delays, excuses, and a system that moves slower than the traffic that killed him, the trial for the death of tow operator Toby Bowden is finally scheduled to begin April 20, 2026.

Let that sink in.

A man is killed on the side of Interstate 85, doing his job, under flashing lights that are supposed to protect him by law…
…and it takes three years just to get to a courtroom.

THIS IS NOT A COMPLICATED CASE

This is not a mystery.
This is not a debate.
This is not a gray area.
• Law enforcement is testifying
• First responders are testifying
• Evidence is direct
• The facts are known

We know exactly what happened.

What we don’t know is why the system drags its feet when a roadway worker is killed.

THE SYSTEM HAS ALREADY FAILED — THIS IS ITS LAST CHANCE

Let’s stop pretending.

The same system that:
• Delays hearings
• Reschedules trials
• Lets defendants sit comfortably out on bond

…is now asking the family to sit in a courtroom and relive the worst day of their lives.

They will be forced to:
• See graphic evidence
• Hear every detail again
• Sit feet away from the person responsible

That’s what “justice” looks like right now.

Cold. Slow. And overdue.

WE’VE SEEN THIS BEFORE — AND IT SHOULD TERRIFY YOU

During pre-trial discussions, another case was brought up:
• Clear visibility
• Daylight conditions
• A worker killed

The outcome?
• Minimal jail time
• Weekend sentences
• A life reduced to a slap on the wrist

That is exactly what we are up against.

And if you think it can’t happen again, you haven’t been paying attention.

THIS IS BIGGER THAN ONE CASE — THIS IS A PATTERN

Tow operators.
Police officers.
Firefighters.
DOT workers.

Struck. Killed. Forgotten.

And over and over again, the consequences don’t match the damage.

Because somewhere along the line, society decided that:
killing a roadway worker is just another “accident.”

No. It’s not.

It’s negligence.
It’s disregard.
And it’s happening because people think they’ll get away with it.

Too often, they do.
