USGBC Northern California and USGBC Orange County, in coordination with our phenomenal volunteers, continue to support and inspire a local network of green building professionals leading change, even during uncertain times. In 2021, we responded to the climate crisis and the pandemic by emphasizing the importance of resilient, healthy, high-performance buildings that are accessible to everyone in our community.

USGBC's California communities represent a network of more than 26,000 LEED professionals, over 17,000 event participants, a deep bench of about 50 LEED Fellows, and a thriving society of emerging professionals, who are the future of our industry. It is this impactful group of USGBC volunteers and market leaders who advance the single largest market for green building in the country.


The USGBC California community is invited to engage with the green building community by joining USGBC Northern California and USGBC Orange County for an Open House on Monday, January 31st at 4:00 p.m. PST. This virtual event will offer a preview of upcoming events and programs for 2022, briefly share California community highlights from 2021, and serve to reimagine our USGBC future together. Most importantly, we invite you to share your ideas and hopes for USGBC and tell the MLAB and USGBC directors what you would like to see happening in the years to come. We will have interactive sessions to gain input from the community.

There are many valuable opportunities in the coming year with USGBC Orange County and USGBC Northern California, from leading committees to presenting, volunteering, earning credits, and meeting with leaders and emerging professionals. Engaging with our green building community is the best way to learn where the new projects are, meet potential clients, find out about opportunities and learn about new programs and technologies in the wide variety of industries we serve.
