Hey yall! Long time no see 🙈 here’s a little update from your fave chickens at Mad Pasture homestead! And some close-out of summer photos! SO MUCH IS HAPPENING HERE ON THE ‘STEAD! But first! Leave a comment to let me know “how goes it!?” for yall this season!
🍄
As you might’ve noticed we’ve had a lot less eggs to offer lately. All is still goin’ MAD over here! Our 15 summer layers took a little break to molt and co-mingle since moving the coops from the field and just off the house and in turn, introducing the flocks to each other so they can have some freedom and still be safe and manageable for mama hen! We’re expecting that our summer layers and remaining 70 or so birds will be at full production by the end of the month🤞🏼 in the midst of all of that, 👆🏼, we also brought home some cutie lil quail babies thanks to Elena at Arlington Meats! They laid their first eggies today for us! 🤗 I’ve got lots of ideas and offerings in the works, as well as a few ideas of how and what I may share here on the page for fun!

You may or may not know, but we’re a first generation homesteading AND homeschooling family of 5 doing all of this by hand, from scratch, learning along every step of the way and also failing (a lot, which is very hard to share sometimes) so truly, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your choosing Mad Pasture eggs, for following and interacting, and for your patience with our provisions!
