Tessa Bailey has been my one click author since her first book release. Her delving into a new genre was exciting for me since I’d recently started reading within this paranormal dystopian world.
As I began reading, I was immediately immersed in the Broken Rival world. The pages kept turning effortlessly. The main characters of Magnolia, Fallon and Ramsey gripped me by the neck and I had to know how their love triangle would feel. Would they survive?
Let’s start with Magnolia a teenager whose scientist parents’ created the ability to time travel. This causes their untimely death and strands Magnolia back in time. She finds herself living with a family with the two teenage boys, Fallon and Ramsey. This story contains twists and turns, grief, survival and learning trust. Magnolia is a strong young girl trying to survive while investigating her parents deaths. While learning she finds herself falling for both Fallon and Ramsey. One is her mysterious high school sweetheart and the other a brooding crusader who is hunting down those involved in time travel.
Ramsey is my favorite. He’s swoon worthy with his dark, deep and dangerous personality. He’s the one your mother warned you about but you just couldn’t pull away from. He’s definitely my man!
Tessa has done an excellent job of creating this dystopian world. I found it so interesting while still keeping you on your toes guessing. Let’s not forget the scientific details involved in writing a book involving time travel and merging it so beautifully with a love story. I found myself emotional, yes, tears emotional and I still wanted more.
As always, Tessa delivers a story that will remain with you long after you turned the last page. I can not wait for what comes next.
