This Memorial Day, we paused to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Working with seniors each day gives us a deep appreciation for the generations who have served, sacrificed, and helped shape the freedoms we all enjoy today. Many of the families we walk alongside carry stories of courage, resilience, and service that deserve to be remembered and honored.

As we spent time with loved ones, may we also take a moment to reflect with gratitude for those who gave everything for our nation.

We’re proud to highlight Kayla Baham, Board Member of the BBB Serving Southwest Louisiana Board and Founder & CEO of Aging with Grace Senior Living Advisors.

Founded three years ago, Aging with Grace was built on Kayla’s passion for helping families navigate important senior care decisions with compassion, clarity, and expertise. She finds the greatest joy in seeing clients thrive again after transitioning into senior living communities that truly meet their needs.

As a first-year BBB board member, Kayla values the role BBB plays in promoting transparency, accountability, and higher standards of service throughout our community. She believes businesses should always prioritize doing what is good and right for the people they serve above financial performance alone.

Beyond her work with BBB SWLA, Kayla has dedicated more than 15 years of service to the Alzheimer's Association Louisiana Chapter - Lake Charles through various board leadership roles and recently served on the CSA Conference Program Committee.

Outside of work, Kayla enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, discovering new restaurants, decorating, hosting gatherings, and reading.

💡 Fun Fact: Kayla has road-tripped across almost every state in the U.S.

Her greatest influences are her faith and her family — including her daughter, Emma Grace, and husband, Jacob — who continue to inspire her heart for service and leadership.

Today we had the pleasure of bringing a little extra pep in their step to the amazing staff at Pelican Point Nursing Home! ☕💙

Aging with Grace and Allegiance Hospice teamed up to treat the staff to a fun coffee bar and a small token of appreciation for all they do each day for their residents.

We had such a great time serving smiles, coffee, and encouragement to a team that works so hard to care for others. Thank you for letting us spend the day with you! ☕✨

Attention caregivers, health professionals and SWLA community: You’re invited to Brookdale Lake Charles for a seminar on recognizing depression in the elderly.

Guest Speaker: Dr. Zachary Ryder, MD

Originally from Lake Charles, Dr Ryder is excited to be providing adult and geriatric behavioral health services to his home community. He has a degree in Psychology from Baylor University in Waco, TX, and a medical degree from LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, LA. His post-graduate training includes a General Psychiatry Residency from Baylor Scott and White in Temple, TX, where he served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Ryder is a board-certified psychiatrist and has been practicing since 2019. He has been an active member of the American Psychiatric Association since 2015.

We are excited to share that Aging with Grace is continuing to grow into Mandeville, Covington & Slidell in Louisiana.

What began as a personal mission to help families navigate senior living decisions with guidance, advocacy, and heart has grown into a trusted resource for so many families across Southwest Louisiana, Acadiana, Alexandria, and now the North Shore.

We are beyond grateful for the continued support from our clients, community partners, and families who have allowed us to grow and serve more seniors across Louisiana.
