Hey everyone in driving distance of Lake Charles, LA.

The SWLA Cyber Club is shaking things up a little this month/tonight. We're heading to Crying Eagle Brewing - University for our monthly meetup tonight at 6pm.

No vendor sponsor or presentation this month so we're going dutch, but hope everyone can still make it out and network with all your favorite local IT nerds!

If only a few people show up then maybe the first round of drinks could be sponsored by JTan, LLC. We are a veteran owned very small business and we perform fractional HR consulting for other very small businesses only in SWLA. Our prized client is Barbers on Broad!

What makes BSidesNOLA so special to me is the people. Full stop.

The Louisiana cybersecurity connections and friendly atmosphere at BSides NOLA means the world to me. Supporting my friends like Najo Ifield and Chris "Cpat" Patteson 🤠 is important to me too because they do the same for me.

And this year will be my first time attending as the Commander of the Louisiana State Guard Cyber Reserve Team, the VP of SAFE Net - Scam Awareness & Fraud Education Network and as the Cybersecurity Manager at Bollinger Shipyards. All are wonderful Louisiana based home grown organizations.

These three new roles are in addition to the long standing roles of President of the Louisiana Chapter of the Cloud Security Alliance and a VP of the Louisiana Chapter of InfraGard. Can you tell I am “State-triotic”? LOL.

Looking forward to hanging out with my friends and co-workers from my various Louisiana based cybersecurity organizations on May 12th. Can’t wait to see yall soon!
