Trail Rules and Etiquette:

All trail users:
-Stay on the trails. No bushwacking or blazing your own trail!
-Dogs are not allowed on the trail during winter.
-Bikes yield to skiers. Give Skate skiers a wide berth when passing.
-No walking on or damaging the groomed trail. If you must walk, walk off the the side of the groomed trail. Fatbikers:
-Do not ride then the temperature is above 30 degrees

fahrenheit.
-Do not ride when conditions are too soft. If you are leaving a rut deeper than an inch, having a hard time riding in a straight line or pushing your bike, the snow is too soft and you shouldn't be riding on the trails.
-Tire pressure should be at 4 PSI or less. Tires should "give" easily when you squeeze them.
-Tires should be 3.7" or bigger.
-Groups should spread out across the skate lane so as not to create a rut.

I’m not sure if it was snow or lake effect but it was enough to get a solid groom in this morning. Fresh corduroy for your pleasure. Except hikers, hikers don’t get fresh corduroy, they can hike in the deep stuff adjacent the trail. Have fun out there snowshoers, XC skiers, and fat bikers.

1/12/2022: attempted grooming this morning. Good news, the trail setup nicely from last week. But we need more snow. The wind swept away any new snow and grooming really had minimal affect.

Maybe winter will stick around for more than a week this time.

Trail is groomed from top to bottom and it looks nice, real nice. This trail is an excellent place for XC skiing, fat biking, and snow shoeing. Notice I did not say hiking. Hiking is for spring, summer, and fall.
