🚨 The Laundry Products We Never Recommend

At Will's Appliance Repair, we see the damage these products can cause every day.

While dryer sheets and liquid fabric softener may leave your laundry smelling fresh and feeling soft, they're not doing your appliances any favors.

Dryer sheets leave behind a waxy residue that coats your lint screen, moisture sensors, and even the inside of your dryer.

That buildup can cause:

⚙️ Extra wear on your dryer
💸 Higher energy bills
🛠️ Costly repairs
🚫 Moisture sensor issues that prevent clothes from drying properly

And while we're on the subject...

Instead, try this:
🐑 Wool dryer balls help soften clothes naturally, reduce static, and can even help improve drying efficiency.

🥣 1/4 cup of white distilled vinegar in the fabric softener dispenser is a simple alternative to liquid fabric softener. It helps soften clothes without leaving behind the residue that dryer sheets and fabric softeners can.

Your Washer Cleans Your Clothes... But When Was the Last Time You Cleaned Your Washer?

A little maintenance can go a long way in helping reduce odors and buildup.

Try this simple refresh:
✔️ Add 1 cup of white vinegar directly into the drum
✔️ Add ¼ cup of lemon juice directly into the drum
✔️ Run the hottest cleaning cycle available

When the cycle is finished:
✔️ Wipe around the door seal
✔️ Clean the detergent drawer
✔️ Dry any remaining moisture inside the drum

💡 Bonus Tip: Leave the washer door open between loads to help prevent mold and mildew buildup.
