📣 Temporary Closure Notice 📣

We will be temporarily closed through October 25th and will resume normal business hours on Monday, October 26th.

During this time, we will still be available through Facebook Messenger, but will not be responding to phone calls or text messages. We appreciate your patience and will do our best to return any missed calls and messages as soon as possible once we reopen!

During the last week of October, we’ll be wrapping up our remaining fall bat exclusion projects and beginning scheduled inspections.

Thank you all for your patience, understanding, and continued support!

Six months pregnant and still getting out there to set some mole traps when I can! Yesterday was a beautiful day full of trap setting and inspections. And of course, Lady May was there to supervise🐾

We’ve been staying incredibly busy lately, and we’re officially in crunch time trying to get everything completed before the end of fall bat season.🦇

We’re currently scheduling a couple of weeks out for most species, and we truly appreciate everyone who has reached out and has been patient with us during this busy time!

Our fall bat exclusion schedule is fully booked, but we are still completing inspections and have started our spring bat exclusion waiting list for anyone who would like to get on the schedule for next season.

Couldn’t have asked for a better fall day to be outside doing what we love! 🍂☀️

We’re officially BOOKED for our fall bat season! 🤯

With that, we thought it was the perfect time to introduce a new logo highlighting a major part of what we do.

We are incredibly passionate about bat work and so proud to offer it, so it only felt fitting to give this part of our business a little something of its own.

Our original logo isn’t going anywhere and will continue to represent all of the wildlife removal services we offer — you may just start seeing this one around a little more!

For those who already have an inspection scheduled with us, those will still be completed as planned, and we’ll discuss fall availability with you individually.

We’re so thankful for everyone who has trusted us this bat season and helped fill our fall schedule. We hope you love the new additional logo as much as we do! 🦇

P.S. We complete bat inspections year-round! If you’d like to have your home inspected and receive a quote, we can get you on our list for spring — or possibly sooner if any fall availability opens up!

When you hire someone to work on your home, you should feel confident the job is being done right.

At Wild Out West Michigan, bat exclusion is one of our specialties. We use professional-grade materials and proper installation methods, and we finish the job — returning to remove one-way devices, complete the final sealing, and standing behind the areas we seal with our 3-year workmanship & materials guarantee.

We’re a local, husband-and-wife owned business that is National Bat Standards Certified, an NWCOA member, licensed & insured, and follows Michigan wildlife laws and professional industry standards.

Professional without the corporate model. Personal without cutting corners.

🦇 Fall scheduling: We’re currently about 2–3 weeks out with bat exclusions already scheduled for our current customers. With fall bat work needing to be completed by the end of October, our remaining fall availability is becoming limited.

What bat activity can look like inside an attic.

This was only part of the colony found tucked away here — and the second photo shows the guano that had accumulated beneath one of their roosting areas.

One thing that surprises homeowners about bats is how much can be happening inside a home without ever being seen. Bats can enter through very small openings, and seeing only one or two outside doesn’t necessarily tell you how many may be using the structure.

When we inspect a home for bats, we look not only for their main entry points, but also for potential future entry points as well. Bats are persistent and may seek out another way in, which is why identifying and sealing all of those areas is such an important part of a thorough bat exclusion.

We’ve been very busy helping homeowners throughout our local communities with bat activity this season! If you’ve had a bat inside, hear activity in your attic or walls, or consistently notice bats around your roofline at dusk, feel free to reach out. We’d be happy to take a look 🦇

August means one thing around here… lots of bats! 🦇

From bats finding their way into living spaces to inspections and exclusions, bat calls are coming in fast!

Our exclusion schedule is filling up quickly, so if you’re noticing bat activity around your home, give us a call for an inspection and quote.

And thank you for your patience if you reach our voicemail during these busy days! We truly appreciate it and are doing our best to return calls as soon as we can 👍

Our Wild Out West Michigan family is growing!

We’re so excited to share some very special news — our baby girl, who we’ve dreamed of for so long, will be arriving this January 💕

There’s been so much to be thankful for this year, and we’re so excited for what’s ahead. We can’t wait to welcome the newest member of the crew!

Getting Multiple Bat Exclusion Quotes? Read This First.

Not all bat exclusions are created equal.

The photos below are real examples we’ve encountered while inspecting homes where previous bat exclusion work had already been completed.

Here are just a few of the things we’ve encountered:
* Expanding foam used in place of proper bat exclusion materials.
* Failing caulk.
* Improperly installed ridge vent protection.
* Or even the right materials installed incorrectly.

A bat exclusion isn’t just about getting the bats out—it’s about making sure they don’t come back. That means identifying and sealing not only active entry points, but potential entry points as well, since bats may look for another way in once their primary opening is closed. The right materials and proper installation are what make the difference.

A lower price may save you money today, but if shortcuts are taken or the work isn’t done properly, you could end up paying for the same job twice. A quality bat exclusion should be a long-term solution—not a one-season fix.

At Wild Out West Michigan, we believe in charging a fair, honest price that allows us to use professional-grade materials, take the time to do the work thoroughly, and stand behind our work with a 3-year warranty on the areas we seal. Because we believe your home deserves to be protected properly—and that quality work should be backed by a company that stands behind it.
