What bat activity can look like inside an attic.
This was only part of the colony found tucked away here — and the second photo shows the guano that had accumulated beneath one of their roosting areas.
One thing that surprises homeowners about bats is how much can be happening inside a home without ever being seen. Bats can enter through very small openings, and seeing only one or two outside doesn’t necessarily tell you how many may be using the structure.
When we inspect a home for bats, we look not only for their main entry points, but also for potential future entry points as well. Bats are persistent and may seek out another way in, which is why identifying and sealing all of those areas is such an important part of a thorough bat exclusion.
