When my life partner and I began our search for a home back in August of 2022, I wasn’t exactly motivated or excited. The decision was more her idea than mine. A family friend had recommended Laura to my girlfriend, and there were four locations that I agreed to look at. I was apprehensive but open-minded to buying a new home because the “perfect time” doesn’t exist. I’ll be honest when I say that I wasn’t initially looking forward to meeting our impending realtor, Laura, because I assumed she would be your classic, cheesy, point-and-shoot pushy salesperson. It wasn’t long after meeting with her at the first property on our list that my assumptions proved to be wrong. Laura was genuine, friendly, and personable. She took a lot of the apprehension and anxiety out of the way I was feeling about finding a new home. Instead of trying to convince us to overlook certain aspects of the properties we didn’t care for and push for a sale, she was very respectful of our tastes and things we considered deal-breakers. Long story short, we ended up looking at almost two-dozen properties with Laura and made an offer on four that all ended up falling through. Laura would answer our questions anytime we asked, and was always willing to show us another property, sometimes at the last minute. She did point out things we hadn’t considered and is very knowledgeable. When we finally found the place we ended up calling our new home, it was 6 months later. The best thing about Laura, to me, as our realtor, is that she got to know us as individuals and genuinely shared our joy of finding what turned out to be the best place we looked at. She understood our wants, needs, and even our idiosyncrasies regarding what was important to us in a new home. There was never any pressure put on us, and she tolerated my seemingly stoic and indifferent demeanor. Overall, she worked hard for us and turned what was once a source of anxiety for me into a memorable experience that I’ll reflect on for years to come. I honestly can’t endorse Laura enough and can’t imagine another realtor out there that can compete with her authenticity, kindness, patience, and willingness to go the extra mile or more for her clients.
