SELLING AT AUCTION
If you have items you would like to consign for auction please contact us for full details and to arrange an appointment 352 461-0535
There are times when holding an Estate or Moving Sale is not an option because either their isn't time, or perhaps there are too many or too few items for a sale. Consignment stores are very selective in what they accept, charge high commission
s, and put the onus on you to contact them within a specified time frame to collect your unsold items, or they become the owners of the property to dispose of as they see fit. You could sell those unwanted items yourself, but boy is this hard work. You need to be able to establish market pricing in your area, market online and screen the spam and scams that have become a staple in online advertising. Or, alternatively hold a yard sale which involves lots of labor for little return. Selling your items at auction is a great alternative! We can sell a whole or partial household or a few select items for you. Consigning to auction is a scalable alternative. Items can be cleared very quickly from your home and stored at our facility until they go to auction. All items consigned to us, will be sold at auction within 30 days, in accordance with Florida Law. Full settlement occurs with 7 business days of your items being sold. Your money is safely held in an escrow account until you are paid. Auctions allow you to open up your items to a greater buying audience. Online bidding allows us to offer for sale items with low demand here, but with higher demand in other areas of the country - a greater potential for sales, at a higher price. BUYING AT AUCTION
Buying at auction is a fun and exciting experience, whether you are a seasoned auction goer or a first timer. Remember, we want you to buy, so if you have any questions, please ask a friendly member of our staff, and they will be glad to help you. There are a few things you can do ahead of time to prepare for the auction. Our auction catalogs are published online before every auction. Find that treasure you are interested in purchasing and establish a price that you are willing to pay for it. Items you purchase need to be removed at the conclusion of the auction in accordance with the terms and conditions of the auction, so be prepared with packing materials, boxes and a truck if necessary. Know your total cost. If you win a bid, in addition to the ‘hammer price’, you will owe a buyer’s premium plus sales tax. Check the auctions terms and conditions for full details. Inspect the ‘Lots’. Items can be previewed prior to the auction if offered. Preview times will be posted for each auction. Remember, all items are sold ‘as is, where is and without warranty, so it is important that you inspect the items you are interested in thoroughly! Good luck and happy bidding!
