Here at L-N-S we come up with a plan that fits our clients with their own needs.

🌷 7-Day Dementia Activity Plan

Day Activity How to do it
Monday 📸 Photo time Look through 5–10 familiar photos. Talk about people, places, and feelings—don’t quiz their memory.
Tuesday 🎵 Music & movement Play 3–5 favorite songs. Clap, sway, tap hands, or simply listen together.
Wednesday 🌿 Gardening Water plants, pull a few weeds, arrange flowers, or simply sit outside and enjoy nature.
Thursday 🧺 Helpful household task Fold towels, sort socks, wipe a table, or organize a drawer. Focus on participation, not perfection.
Friday 🍪 Simple cooking Make something familiar, such as cookies, sandwiches, or fruit salad. Let them do safe, simple steps.
Saturday 🚶 Walk & outing Take a 10–20 minute walk or go for a short drive to a familiar place.
Sunday 💕 Reminiscing & relaxation Look at meaningful objects, listen to favorite music, have a favorite snack, and spend quiet time together.

A simple daily structure

Try to keep the same general schedule each day:

Morning: Breakfast → care → activity
Afternoon: Lunch → rest → activity/walk
Evening: Dinner → quiet activity → familiar bedtime routine

❤️ Three important rules

1. Keep activities short: 10–30 minutes is often enough.
2. Don’t test memory: Avoid questions like “Do you remember who this is?”
3. Follow their mood: If they’re tired, frustrated, or uninterested, stop and try something easier later.

The goal isn’t to keep them busy—it’s to help them feel safe, capable, and connected.
