Community Shout-Out: Sherwood Community Services

We want to extend a huge thank you to Sherwood Community Services for generously opening their doors and allowing our group to hold meetings at their facility. Their support means the world to us!

Sherwood holds a special place in the hearts of many of our members. Both Melissa Hemrich and Jessica Taylor proudly serve on Sherwood’s Board of Directors, and several of our members have been longtime supporters of their incredible mission.

Never heard of Sherwood? They’re a phenomenal resource for children and adults living with disabilities—and for the families who love and care for them. Sherwood provides services across Snohomish, Island, Skagit, and San Juan Counties, all while being headquartered right here in Lake Stevens.

A couple of weeks ago, two of our dedicated members—Jessica Taylor of Taylor's Plumbing Solutions and Melissa Hemrich of Coastal Community Bank—spent a meaningful evening supporting Cocoon House at its 20th annual Evening in Silk.

Jessica and Melissa have made it a tradition to attend this event together, showing their unwavering commitment to empowering youth in Snohomish County. Their continued support helps Cocoon House provide vital resources and safe spaces for young people facing homelessness and other challenges.

Music in the Park is back and better than ever!

Join us every Wednesday in July and the first week of August from 6 to 9 PM at North Cove Park for five evenings of free live music, local food and drink, and great community vibes

Each night features two incredible acts, including our very own Lake Stevens Community Band and Jazz Band, plus some of the region’s most exciting professional groups
