I am a wife, a mother, a lover of all things beautiful, and absolutely a hippie at heart! I have always loved photography. I can remember being a little girl and my favorite toy in my grandmother's toy box was an old Zenit-E 35mm camera. I would scurry outside and pretend to take pictures of all the scenery in my grandmother's back yard for hours until my grandma would call me in for supper. As th
e years went on I worked various jobs in the health care field never really finding my place. I became busy with life and didn't put a camera back in my hands until just two years ago. I shot what would prove to be my most favorite picture of my children. I shot the photo with a $40.00 Kodak point and shoot. I keep that portrait on my wall as a reminder that it doesn't matter how expensive your equipment is, you still have to have an eye for photography. It wasn't until a friend had asked me to shoot their family pictures that I had ever considered becoming a photographer. I spent the afternoon photographing their family and instantly fell in love with photography, especially after how happy they were with their portraits. That is still my favorite part of this profession, the clients reaction. I love watching their face light up knowing they are going to have these beautiful memories for the rest of their lives! I am so happy that I took a risk to pursue happiness with my work. I love photography, people, and having the ability to see beautiful things that might have gone unseen had my lens not been there. "There are photographers and then there are memory catchers. The difference between the two is Photographers learn their trade where as memory catchers feel their pictures. Anybody can take a picture... takes somebody with a keen eye, the ability to see the beauty in everything, and a big heart to catch a memory." My happy place is a hot summer day, teaching my children to be wild spirits with a camera in my hands. If you would like to jump in front of my lens I would love to hear from you! Please feel free to message me or give me a call anytime!
