🔥 FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT SATURDAY (7 AM – 7 PM) 🔥

A Fire Weather Watch has been issued for our area by the National Weather Service in Birmingham for Saturday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM due to conditions that could support rapid wildfire growth.

What does this mean?
A Fire Weather Watch means critical fire weather conditions are possible. This typically includes a combination of:
• Low humidity
• Strong winds
• Dry vegetation

These factors can cause fires to start easily and spread quickly.

What you need to know:
🚫 Avoid outdoor burning
🚫 Do not discard ci******es outside
🚫 Be cautious with anything that could create sparks (equipment, grills, etc.)
🚫 Secure trailer chains to prevent dragging/sparks

Remember: Even a small spark can turn into a fast-moving wildfire under these conditions.

Stay weather aware and continue to monitor updates. If a Red Flag Warning is issued, that means dangerous fire conditions are happening or imminent.

Stay safe and help prevent wildfires.
