What Does a Home Care Visit Actually Look Like?

Not every home care visit involves a long list of complicated tasks.

Sometimes the most valuable visit includes:

This is the kind of caregiving that deserves to be recognized. ❤️

Last week, Ari stepped in on her day off when another caregiver called out so one of our clients would not go without care.

While there, Ari noticed that something just wasn’t right. She checked the client’s vital signs, recognized concerning changes, and immediately called 911. The client was transported to the hospital, where doctors discovered a serious infection that ultimately required ICU care.

Because Ari was attentive, trusted her instincts, and acted quickly, our client received the medical attention he needed and is now on the mend.

Ari, thank you for showing up when you were needed, for paying attention to the little things that can become very big things, and for treating your client with such genuine care and responsibility.

One You Love Home Care is looking for an experienced, dependable PRN Registered Nurse to support our growing home care agency in Lakeland and throughout Polk County.

This is an excellent opportunity for an RN looking for flexible, PRN work without a traditional full-time schedule.

Responsibilities may include:

• Completing 90-day client/caregiver reviews and supervisory visits
• Reviewing and signing care plans and updates
• Completing caregiver skills and competency check-offs
• Ensuring caregivers are appropriately trained for assigned client needs
• Reviewing client records and documentation for quality and completeness
• Providing caregiver education and clinical guidance within agency scope
• Assisting with changes in condition, incidents, falls, and other clinical concerns
• Supporting caregiver supervision and performance improvement
• Helping maintain infection-control and safety standards
• Assisting with quality assurance and regulatory compliance
• Collaborating with office staff regarding client needs, caregiver assignments, and continuity of care

What we’re looking for:

✓ Active Florida RN license in good standing
✓ Home care, home health, senior care, or similar experience strongly preferred
✓ Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
✓ Dependable, organized, and comfortable working independently
✓ Reliable transportation
✓ A genuine commitment to supporting both clients and caregivers

This is a PRN position, making it ideal for an RN looking to supplement an existing schedule while becoming an important part of a small, locally operated home care team.
