It’s still one of the coolest things I get to do…sharing my book with kids is awesome every time. I love to hear their questions and has one boy today say I inspired him to write a book. Awesome stuff!

I started the day with my motivational friend Alex Sheen off because I said I would and ended it with my graduate level training and development students at the food truck rally. Today was a good day😁

What a great day today! It started hearing one of the best motivational speakers in the world, my friend Alex Sheen with because I said I would and ended with me taking my graduate level training and development students to the food truck rally. I wish every day could be this awesome!

MY LAST DAY

PIZZA PARTY IN THE MATHARE SLUMS
Since my flight wasn’t until 10:45 at night, I had one more day to enjoy. Alex Musyimi, Kevin Otieno, and I worked together to plan a pizza party for 180 kids and 20 staff members in mAthare. We were so fortunate to meet Marshal Ken Muiruri from Dominos Pizza who made sure all 60 large pizzas were cooked to perfection and he even personally delivered them and helped us pass them out to the kids. We walked through the slums unbothered by anyone since most had no idea what a pizza box was. It was a special treat for my last day!

ACQUIRING LAND FOR A FRIEND
Although the land we originally looked for didn’t work out, with Habbil Lipesa Omukuba help, we found an even better property for our deaf friend. They are signing the papers tomorrow, and she will be able to farm it and eventually build when she’s ready.

SAYING GOODBYE
It’s so hard to say goodbye to so many great friends I’ve met along the way. Everyone has been so nice (except the police who pulled us over 4 times in two weeks for bribes). I’ll never forget the friends I’ve made, and I’m so thankful for each of them. My stomach is still upset after 5 days but hopefully all goes well.

I’ll finish with a prayer from my friend Kevin who serves on the Mathare slums:

Lord with thank you, for there are those with food but no appetite, those with appetite but no food, we are privileged to have both and we thank you 🙏
