Big Michael is the definition of hard work with heart. As one of our Spanish-speaking crew members, he’s always teaching us how to say things in Spanish while happily learning English right alongside us — his favorite, a big thumbs up, and "Solid" when it's a job well done!

Whether he’s in the warehouse, up on the dock, running machinery, or lending a hand at the steel pile, Big Michael’s positive attitude makes everyone grateful to have him working by their side. And lately, that smile has been even bigger since he’s stepped into his newest and most important role — being a dad!

Celebrating 12 Years with a ScrapCo MVP!

Today we’re proudly celebrating ScrapCo Metal Recycling’s very own Pitho Hernandez for 12 incredible years on the job!

Pitho is one of our true MVPs on the crane — a tough, detailed job that takes serious skill. From unloading customers to sorting scrap and loading trucks for hauling, it’s no easy task… but Pitho makes it look effortless from up there in his big green crane.

And let’s be real — he does it all while looking cool, rocking his shiny bling and ScrapCo swag!

What truly drives Pitho, though, is his family. His kids are his biggest motivation, and being a devoted father is — and always will be — his top priority. That dedication is something we respect and admire deeply.

Thank you, Pitho, for 12 years of hard work, loyalty, and commitment to ScrapCo. We truly couldn’t do it without you — and we’re proud to have you as part of the ScrapCo family!
