Why God Allows Pain, Suffering, Hardship, Trials, and evil:
(Hebrews 12)
1. We are born into a broken world that is full of imperfection, brokenness, sin, pride, perversion, selfishness, and evil. God gives people free will.
2. God DESERVES and wants our UNDIVIDED attention, and cannot tolerate ANY idols.
3. Sometimes He nudges us to alert us of our unavailability, resignation, or cynicism.
4. God wants us to understand and relate to and imagine, even if slightly, remotely, really simply at all, how Jesus significantly suffered for us.
5. God wants us to SURRENDER Every aspect, every part, every thing in our lives, draw near to Him, and call Him Savior King, Friend, Redeemer and Rescuer; He wants us to rely solely on, and fully depend on, and CLING TO Him.
6. In the valley of the shadow (of death), is the richest, most fertile soil, where growth is the most prevalent and opportune.
7. Through our suffering we refine and develop our character; and we produce patience and perseverance, endurance, empathy, and compassion.
8. We come to trust Jesus, and rely completely on God's timing, on His purpose on His ways. He is our sustainer.
9. Through it all, we acknowledge that God's ways are higher than our ways and we don't always get to understand the reasons and whys; it's not our right, and simply is privilege, if we ever do. We merely get the precious opportunity to surrender and let go of, ALL of our control.
10. In time, we are given the opportunity to come alongside people who are going through similar pain/ loss/ hurt/ struggle/ trial/ hardship, and we are able to comfort and support them, and offer godly hope, encouragement, compassion, and empathy.
11. We must recognize that God is graciously and mercifully sovereign.
12. We get to discover that God's timing And purposes are supreme.
13. We are able to claim that His ultimate GLORY and His will, prevails in the end.
14. We feel, palplibly and firsthand, real life, when He RAINS Down His Agape Love, Protection, and Peace.
15. We get to call on the mighty Name of the Lord, and say, "HE REIGNS Supreme!"
16. Suffering, hardship, and trials allow us to fall on our knees, and pray and experience, the incredible POWER of prayer.
17. Suffering pain, hardship, and trials allow the potential for the miraculous to be seen and displayed! He can do miracles!
18. Ultimately it allow us to forgive, recalibrate, refocus, reprioritize, recover, replenish, and restore our relationship with Jesus.
19. Through this experience , we Have a choice! And we get to choose life over death! And most importantly, we realize that MISERY, no matter how we feel or what we're going through, IS COMPLETELY OPTIONAL!
20. Finally, We receive the beautiful opportunity to change our perspective: From victim to Victory! From calloused to Courageous, From grievance to Gratitude, From anger to Appreciation, From despair to Destiny, From powerless to Powerful, From hopeless to Hope-Filled, From crushed to Created, From haughty to Humility, From injured to Influence, From exhaustion to Enthusiasm, From fear to Faith, From pride to Protected, From entitled to Enlightened, From resentful to Redeemed, From indulgent to Inspired, From resistant to Redesigned, From jaded to Joy, From persecution to Promise!!
