ess began in 1993 by boiling sap from 40 taps, we now have increased to over 800 taps and purchased from another 3200 taps. All taps are handled by tubing and majority of taps with vacuum collection. In addition, the use of a reverse osmosis machinary unit to remove excess of water prior to boiling for efficiancy and increased production. Also Big Tree Maple is an autherized equipement and supply dealer for LAPIERRE, USA and Sugarhill containers.

This photo was taken a few days ago. We ride the ATV on a snowmobile trail to reach this area of woods. Then use snowshoes to follow the sap lines and tap the trees. This day was a rare sunny day in normally cloudy Chautauqua county!
