Good Dogs! I’m close to being completely caught up! I had to break away to clean up my shop, as these and other projects generate a lot of scrap and dust, but will be back at it as I have time today.

Our meat birds (the girls call them our KFC Juniors) are ready for the freezer, so we are having quality family time this morning. (Iykyk) 🤣 Gotta go get everything ready💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼

Tray skeletons were a surprise best seller at The Junk Ranch. We set them out front and sold nearly every one of two dozen. They make beautiful door-hangers that you can change the decor on seasonally.

Round silver trays make awesome flower layers. I cut out the trimmings to get the skeleton. Then I cut tiny hearts from the trimmings. The hearts make Tiny Wind Chime trinkets, earrings and little keepsakes.

I cut all sorts of stuff from the trays. Reindeer ornaments, tiny Highland cows, flying pigs and horses.

I brought home 20 trays from What Cheer Flea Market and am working on ornaments for this fall.

I’m terribly sorry if we’ve inconvenienced anyone by not being open this week. We had a family member in the hospital with a blood clot in their lung and Mom has been at the hospital and is bringing them home today, praise the Lord! And I have been working on running templates and cutting big dogs for y’all and trying to keep up on we**ie stick orders here at the Homestead in between rounding up swarms of bees around the countryside. We will be in the studio tomorrow 10-5 and Saturday 10-2. I’m much obliged to you all for your business and again apologies. Pic of BZ for tax🩷

I was up late last night bottling Pain Oil…this stuff is amazing, which is why I sold out last month. I just hadn’t carved out the time to mix up and bottle a new batch yet.

I spend a lot of time in spring and summer extracting the pain-relieving properties from mullein flowers, dandelion blooms and elder leaf. So right now in my apothecary I have jars of this year’s harvest a-brewing, jars of finished oils and a jar of the final product for filling rollers.🤪 💚
