Well deserved. Congratulations!

Granada School is proud to celebrate John Hopper, as he receives one of Japan’s distinguished honors—the Order of the Rising Sun, Silver Rays.

The Order of the Rising Sun is a special award presented by Japan to individuals who have made significant contributions to society and to strengthening relationships between Japan and other countries. The medal’s design features rays of sunlight emerging from a rising sun, symbolizing the honor and recognition bestowed upon its recipients.

This prestigious recognition celebrates his decades of dedication to education, history, preservation, and fostering understanding between cultures.

👏 Congratulations, Mr. Hopper, on this truly remarkable and well-deserved honor! We are proud to call you a Granada Bobcat! 💚🤍

IMPORTANT UPDATE!

Carrigan Excavating is in the final stages of completing the City of Lamar’s main water line replacement project in Willow Valley. The purpose of this project has been to replace the existing water line, which is outdated and has reached the point where failures are increasingly likely.

Unfortunately, the existing main line failed today before we were able to complete the replacement and place the new line into service.

We understand this is an inconvenience for the residents and businesses of Lamar, and we want you to know that our team is working closely with the City to address the failure and restore service as quickly and safely as possible.

This situation is a frustrating reminder of why this important infrastructure project is necessary. We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as we work through this unexpected issue and finish the project.

Thank you, Lamar, for your continued patience as we work to improve your water infrastructure.
