A Catholic funeral mass will be Celebrated for Yolanda Vera age 70 of Lamesa, TX. at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Father George Poonely officiating. The burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the trusted care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
The viewing and family visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Gonzales Funeral Home from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with a Holy Rosary prayer service starting at 12:00 noon.
Yolanda passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2026, in Lamesa, TX. She was born on June 17, 1956, in Lamesa, TX. Yolanda married Ramon Rivas in June 1990, in Lamesa, TX.
Yolanda was preceded in death by her father, Espiridion Vera and her mother, Hortencia Vera; her sisters, Maria Guadalupe Vera, Rosaura Elizondo, and Ida Ruth Lopez; her brother, Jose Vera.
Yolanda loved dancing, she enjoyed memorable outdoor times at the Lake, and especially love spending precious times with her loving family.

A Catholic funeral mass of Christian burial will be Celebrated for Epifania Vara Garza at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father George Poonely officiating. The viewing will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026, at Gonzales Funeral Home from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary prayer service at 7:00 p.m.

Epifania Vara Garza, age 90, took her last breath surrounded by her loving family on August 26,2026, in San Angelo, Texas. Epifania was born on February 15, 1936, in Crystal City, Texas, to Santiago and filaria Antonia Vara. On November 22,1961, she married the love of her life, Martin R. Garza Sr., in Lamesa, Texas. They were married on their lunch break-a story that beautifully reflected the simple, joyful, and devoted love they shared throughout their lives. Epifania was a woman of deep faith and prayer. She diligently prayed her rosary every morning and was truly the prayer warrior of her family. She was a devoted member of the Liturgy Committee at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She and her husband also shared their love of music by singing together in the church choir. Epifania found joy in helping others, working in her yard, and spending time with the people she loved. Ramon passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026, in Lubbock, TX. He was born on October 27, 1964, in Lamesa, TX.

Ramon was preceded in death by his wife Elvira Barron Sanchez; his father, Emilio Sanchez, Sr.

Ramon was a very hard-working man. He was employed by Auto Tech as an automotive technician-mechanic. He loved spending time with family. Ramon always stayed busy doing side jobs and helping others.

Ramon is survived by his mother, Clara Sanchez of Lamesa, TX.; his daughters, Ramona Sanchez Armanii of Lamesa, TX., Maria Rodriguez and family of Greenwood, TX., Marissa Talamantes and family of Garden City, TX., and Alma Juarez and family of Stanton, TX.; his brother Emilio Sanchez and family of Lamesa, TX.; his sister, Elvira Rodriguez and family of Abilene, TX.; 10 grandchildren; numerous relatives and friends.

Martina Valadez, age 90, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026, in Lamesa, Texas. She was born on November 11, 1935, in Mission, Texas, to Genaro Sanchez and Alicia Rodriguez. Martina was one of twelve children and was blessed to be part of a large family.
Martina was a woman of unwavering Christian faith who placed God above all else. Her faith was the foundation of her life and carried her through every season, both joyful and difficult. She trusted deeply in the Lord and lived with a strength and fearlessness that those who knew her will always remember. Whatever life placed before her, Martina faced it with courage, faith, and the assurance that God was by her side.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Reginald Germaine Calicuitt, lovingly known as "Red," age 51, of Lamesa, Texas. Reginald passed away peacefully on Friday, July 17, 2026, in Lamesa, Texas, surrounded by his loved ones.
Reginald was born on February 9, 1975, in Lamesa, Texas, to Fred Lee Swanson and Gloria Jean Calicuitt. Reginald was known for his kind heart, warm smile, and love for his family. He truly enjoyed life and treasured every moment spent with those he loved, especially his cherished daughter Bianca and grandbabies. In recent years, he was committed to becoming a better man and growing stronger in his walk with God. His resilience, strength, and unwavering love made him an incredible brother, father, grandfather, family member, and friend. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Lee Swanson; his grandparents, Leroy and Mary Lee Calicuitt; his uncle, Leroy Calicuitt Jr.; his sister, Laquinda Dawnyale Calicuitt; and his aunt and uncle, Edie Mae and Lee Parson his nephew Dominique Adams, Keyanna Sansbury

Loveta passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at her home in Lamesa, Texas. She was born on July 12, 1944, in Lamesa. Loveta married Jerry Glenn Todd on April 14, 1962, in Lamesa, TX.
Loveta was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry G. Todd; her parents, James Anthony and Arlis Clement; her brothers, J. L. Anthony, Clyde Anthony, and Dean Anthony, also her sister-in-law, Pam Anthony; her grand-daughter, Sandra Miller.
Leveta was the head-cashier at United for over 20 years until she retired. She was a faithful member of Northside Baptist Church where she loved singing in the church. She enjoyed helping raise her grandsons. She loved her family fiercely.
