So we are in a new year, how are you feeling? Come on and be honest, are you hopeful, optimistic, enthusiastic or are you depressed, trudging through each day feeling like this is as good as it gets?
There is no judgement here. It is what it is. The important thing is to recognize what you are feeling. Write about it in your journal-you are journaling aren’t you? It’s so cathartic to look back and see what you were thinking and feeling to compare it to where you are in the present time. If you are not in a good place, maybe you need to talk to a professional especially if this is persistent. We all have down times, but we must realize that WE are responsible for our thoughts and we can choose them. If you are in a bad place, get out and be in nature. Definitely turn off the tv, especially the news. Do something fun. Remember fun? It’s allowed and recommended. Hang out with upbeat friends. If you don’t have any, find new friends.
Have a good year, set your intention to do so. Be kind. Be creative. Be good to yourself.
