Lately, I’ve found myself thinking a lot about what it means to be proud of where you come from and grateful for where life has brought you.

I’m Mexican-American, and I’m incredibly proud of my roots. 🇲🇽❤️

I’m proud of the culture, the traditions, the language, the music, the food, and the values that shaped the person I am today.

I’m also incredibly grateful for the opportunities this country has given my family. I don’t take that for granted for a second. 🇺🇸

The opportunity to work hard.
To build a business.
To raise my children.
To dream bigger.
To create a life that I’m proud of.

And I’m especially thankful for the people who have been part of that journey.

The clients who have welcomed me into their homes, trusted me, supported my business, and chose to see me for who I am, not simply where my family comes from.

You may not realize it, but that kindness means more to me than you know.

I don’t think being proud of my Mexican roots takes away from my gratitude for being American. And being grateful for the opportunities this country has given my family doesn’t mean I have to forget where I come from.

I can carry both with me. 🇲🇽🇺🇸

My roots are part of my story.
My opportunities are part of my story.
And the people who have believed in me along the way are part of my story too.
