Last Friday our very own Beverly Reed, who serves our clients as an account manager in our small business unit took on the challenge of raising money for Vision Corps which gave her the opportunity to rappel down the side of the Holiday Inn in Lancaster City. Vision Corps is a local non-profit that empowers individuals who are blind, or vision impaired to attain independence. We’ve sponsored and participated in this event since it began in 2019, and are honored to have been able to contribute again this year.

Last Thursday we celebrated Doug Dvorchak and Suzanne Sollenberger as they get ready to retire. Doug has been with the company for 30 years and Suzanne has been with the company for 38 years. What a mark these two will leave on the organization and the culture as a whole! We thank them tremendously for all they have done and wish them all the best in their next adventure.

On February 19th AP Murray held it’s 2025 Annual Meeting. Not only were we reflective when it came to business trends, successes, and ways to improve but we also gathered to celebrate select employees who have dedicated their time and will power to help continue AP Murray’s mission in 2024.

The winner of the Joseph Nolt Sales award, presented by Josh Stoudt, was Joe Kotula.

The winners of the Dennis Dvorchak Award, presented by Rick Rankin were Penny Aurand, Diana Acosta, & Tammy Gill, and the winner of the Splash award, also presented by Rick Rankin was Sarah Kolp.

In early January Jordan joined our team! He specializes in risk management, creating tailored insurance solutions to protect businesses and ensure their long-term success. With a decade of experience in customer relations across manufacturing and retail, Jordan provides creative, cost-effective solutions aligned with clients’ goals. His strong interpersonal skills and clear communication help build lasting relationships and deliver impactful results. Active in local networking groups and community events, he enjoys connecting with peers and learning from their experiences.

Outside of work, Jordan cherishes time with his wife, Ali, their children, Gray and Lenna, and our mini golden doodle, Willow, often relaxing in Sarasota, Florida.

At the begining of December Rick Wildin joined our team! He is dedicated to assisting clients in identifying hazards, recognizing risks, and collaborating on solutions. With a diverse background in safety across manufacturing, construction, and the carrier side, he brings a well-rounded understanding of safety program impacts. Rick excels in teamwork, communication, and patience, reinforcing or correcting safety plan strengths and weaknesses. He believes that promoting safety improves production and strengthens the bottom line.

Rick is an avid Philadelphia sports fan who enjoys spending time with family and friends, whether at home or on vacation. He cherishes family moments with his wife and two sons, enjoying activities like camping, beach trips, and backyard pool days.

At the end of October William Morrell joined our team! With a wealth of industry knowledge and a client-focused attitude Will aims to build and maintain strong relationships with clients. He enjoys working with underwriters to negotiate terms and renewals on our clients behalf. When not putting his AINS degree to work, he enjoys volunteering with Cocoa Packs, hiking, and playing volleyball and soccer. He currently lives in Mechanicsburg with his wife and their dog.

It was all treats from our AP Murray team - Jody Rapp, Nikol Hall, and Kathryn Reeser (not pictured) along with her daughter, Josephine at a recent Truck or Treat event at StoneRidge Retirement Living Communities in Myerstown PA last Monday October 28th. In addition to the outside treats, residents inside participated in a candy walk handing out candy to over 300 children that came through the Community. A fun night for all on a gorgeous fall evening!

On Tuesday July 30th Murray volunteers joined staff at HDC MidAtlantic's senior apartment building Ruoff Towers to host the 2nd annual Bingo & Baked Potato Bar event. The residents loved last year’s event and couldn’t wait for this year. Check out the awesome pics from this year’s event! As always, we can’t wait to do it again.

We are excited to introduce Matt Stetler, our newest Administrative Assistant. With years of experience as an admin assistant he will be assisting the HR & Admin team with handling web access, appointments, and carrier access requests. When not busy at Murray, Matt enjoys Marvel, (comics & the cinematic universe), playing video games, hosting trivia and being a scare actor at Hershey Park. Currently he resides in Lancaster with his wife Shara, daughter Payton and their 2 cats, Loki and Hela. Please give him a warm welcome!

On June 28th, the Lancaster community gathered at Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square to celebrate the impact the Lancaster City Alliance supporters, volunteers, and partners have had on Lancaster city over the last decade.

Richard Rankin, former Lancaster City Alliance Board President and current President and CEO of AP Murray, delivered the opening remarks to kickoff this breakfast event.
