Welcome to Plaid & Ivy Editing! Years ago, I received my first editing & formatting project on a microbiology tech-manual for a retired professor. This was a treat for a nerdy bibliophile. I spent the next twenty years raising and homeschooling my own eight children, constantly answering “why”, proofreading and correcting their work. All that insight into their minds and my own love of reading led to my next major project of proofreading a YA novel to be published this year. I found that I enjoyed it as much as I did the tech-manual, and the rest is history.

I established Plaid & Ivy Editing so that I could use my skills to help those who have stories to share. Some of the most powerful and stirring stories were told by those who knew what they wanted to write, but they struggled with the details of writing.
