A “little” site prep from a little while back.

Got this area dug out, added new gravel, graded and compacted so it’s ready for a new concrete pad and walkway, it’s not the glamorous part of the job, but the base is one of the most important.

Hey everyone,
My name is Mike Samson, and I am excited to introduce Lancaster Construction Co.

I’ve always enjoyed working with equipment, improving properties, and helping people solve problems around their homes. I’m starting to take on a few small projects outside of my normal work schedule, focusing on the type of work that helps homeowners improve and maintain their properties.

As a husband and father of three, I know how important it is to invest in our local community and build something my family can be proud of.

Services include grading, drainage improvements, gravel work, small excavation, retaining walls and landscape/hardscape projects.

This one was a personal project, I was tired of not having a nice spot to grill during the summer months, so we removed the grass and 6” of unsuitable material. Then added 6” of crushed gravel for a base, followed by landscape fabric to hold things in place (and keep the weeds at bay), built a small retaining wall, and added a nice flower bed. Then filled with 3/4” crushed stone.

Mission accomplished!

The homeowner was tired of tracking mud and sand into the garage, so it was time for an upgrade.

We removed approximately 8” of the existing gravel, regraded the driveway, installed several loads of 1½” crushed stone, and compacted it for a clean, durable finish.
