We will be hosting a ribbon cutting during the open house for the newly restored Historic OceanaGold Haile Gold Mine Schoolhouse at 5:00 tomorrow! Please join us in Kershaw as we celebrate this remarkable preservation! 🎉✂️

Some of the best moments in our community happen when we come together. 💛

And we hope you’ll join us for one of those special moments as we celebrate the historic Haile Gold Mine Schoolhouse and open our doors for an afternoon dedicated to our neighbors!

The schoolhouse has long been part of our community’s story, and preserving it has been a meaningful journey. Now, we’re excited to share its next chapter with the people who make this community so special.

🏫 Celebrate our shared history! Tour the beautifully preserved schoolhouse and join us for a special ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5 p.m.

⛏️ Connect with your neighbors at Haile! Meet our team, learn more about our operations, explore displays and ask the questions that matter to you.

We're getting excited seeing all of the Carolinas Chili Championship announcements! THIS Saturday, October 24th, come out to CrossRidge Center for music, chili tasting, a car show, co****le, fireworks and more! The car show starts at 10am, and chili tasting starts at 11:30am! 🌶️🥣🚘🎆

📚COME CELEBRATE A NEW CHAPTER IN LANCASTER COUNTY HISTORY!

We’re excited to invite the public to the Public Dedication Ceremony of the Lancaster County Archives Center, a new research and study space dedicated to preserving the history, stories, documents, and memories of our community for generations to come.

🎟️ FREE & OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Join us as we celebrate the opening of this important community resource. The Archives Center will provide a place where local families, organizations, and researchers can properly preserve historical documents and materials for future research and educational use.

✨ Following the ceremony, guests can enjoy:
• Light food and drinks
• Tours of the new Archives Center
• An opportunity to mingle and connect with fellow community members
• A special exhibit featuring items from the Springs Family Archives, including historic Lancaster Mill materials and photographs

We are honored to have Dr. Eric Emerson, Director of the South Carolina Department of Archives and History, as our keynote speaker.

This is more than the opening of a building, it is an investment in preserving Lancaster County's story for future generations. Come see the space, explore the exhibit, meet fellow history lovers, and help us celebrate this exciting milestone!
