This summer, Chamber Champion OceanaGold Haile Gold Mine gave the Chamber Board of Directors & Staff a tour of their site in Kershaw, SC! 👷‍♀️

"Since its founding in 1827, Haile Gold Mine has been one of the longest-lasting and highest-producing gold mines east of the Mississippi. Since OceanaGold reopened a modern Haile Gold Mine in 2017, they have invested more than $800 million in development, equipment, and construction, generating a significant economic impact for the region. In Lancaster County alone, the Haile Gold Mine generates $568.7 million in positive, annual economic impact, supporting 1,177 jobs and $106.3 million in labor income. Their employees contribute hundreds of volunteer hours annually, supporting local schools, civic organizations, and events.

The Lancaster County Chamber’s Travel Program is a beloved annual tradition that offers community members the chance to explore exciting destinations around the world—no Chamber membership required! Each year, we partner with a trusted travel agency (Chamber Explorations) to curate a seamless group experience to a new location. Past trips have taken us to China, Greece, Italy, Ireland, France, England, Scotland and Wales! This fall a group departs to Italy for a culinary journey.

To help travelers prepare, the Chamber hosts informational sessions leading up to each trip’s registration deadline, and a final document briefing two weeks prior to departure ensures you’re fully ready to go. Thanks to one of our generous Chamber Champions, secure parking is provided in a private garage, and the group is transported together by motorcoach to and from the airport—making travel day smooth and stress-free.

Group sizes typically range from 25 to 45 travelers, with a wonderful mix of first-time participants and returning adventurers. Whether you come solo or with friends, the Chamber’s Travel Program is a fun, worry-free way to see the world with a great group of people.

Paint with Purpose this Thursday Lancaster Grove!

Join us for our final fundraiser of the year for the Walk to End Alzheimer's this Thursday, September 3, from 2:00-4:00 PM! 🎉 We are thrilled to announce that we have reached our goal for the Alzheimer's Association and are still going strong. Our initial target was $8,000, and we've surpassed it with a total of $9,051.47! 💜 Please RSVP if you will join us for this event. Refreshments will be served. Residents paint for free. A $20 minimum donation will be accepted for all other participants. All proceeds benefit the Walk to End Alzheimer's.

After the Paint & Sip event, our residents, families, friends, and staff will have the exciting opportunity to shave Alison's head BALD for ALZ. We're also very excited to have a special friend joining us in this initiative—Mica Jones has also volunteered to allow her head to be shaved BALD for ALZ! ✂ Walk to End Alzheimer’s
