It’s been a while since I said 👋🏼 hi here, but in the interest of introductions, here I am!

✨ My name is Janna and I’m a copywriter, editor, wife, mama, & follower of Jesus. These days I’m in a fun season where I split my time freelance + contract copywriting and doing mom life with my bug. It’s such a fun, exhausting, and rewarding journey.

Just spent a weekend away at a cabin deep in the woods with family - it was a beautiful getaway into air that’s easier to breathe and no access to the internet world (despite the stress that can bring to my Enneagram Type 6 soul 😅). Now back to this life that gives me the opportunity to raise my family + work my passion of helping others kill it in their businesses! How are you pausing to refresh this season? 🌿

Feeling blessed this Monday as I remind myself where my worth is found. When I feel imposter syndrome creeping in after an inquiry falls through or never responds, when I’m overwhelmed by the frustration of my 9-month-old not taking a good nap, when I have to fight intentionally to truly give my best self and full attention to my husband - I remind myself that my worth is not in my role as copywriter, mother, or wife - my worth comes from being a child of God first and foremost, because my strength comes from Him and nothing or no one else. I’m so blessed to be where I am and have the roles I have, but my most important role is follower of Jesus. I hope you can rest in your most important role today, too.

So many updates in the world of janna mae co. - the biggest one being this little guy. 2020-2021 has been a whirlwind for a lot of reasons, including becoming parents, buying a house, transitioning out of my full-time job role, and heading into a new chapter of mom life + freelancing. But we are here and THRIVING ✨ It’s been so exciting to be moving through so many chapters (& honestly really nerve-racking), but I can’t wait to see what this season brings. What makes your small business unique? You don’t have to offer a product or service that no one else offers—your unique interactions and relationships with your customers are what really leave a lasting impact. A big part of that is in your brand voice and how you communicate with your people. Do your customers know what to expect when they slide into your DMs, search for information on your website, or show up for a scheduled meeting or shoot? Keep your voice consistent and your communication effective, and you’re golden ✨

It’s been a while! Thought it might be time for a post. If you don’t know me personally, my name is Janna (my middle name is Mae, could you guess?) and I’m a full time Copywriter, freelance Copywriter/Copyeditor, cat mom, wife to my favorite human, lover of all things cheese and all types of pasta, and bad at thinking of interesting things to tell you about myself. I started this side biz because I love helping out my friends who want to tell the story of their business in a way that represents who they are in the best way possible—and who doesn’t need more friends? (Or we don’t have to be friends, we can just work together. I’m an introvert anyway. 🤷🏻‍♀️) So if you’re a small business owner looking for your brand’s voice, a way to communicate effectively with your ideal client, or just wishing you knew more about how tell your story well, it would be a dream for me to get to know you! ✨
