When the call comes in, volunteer firemen leave their families, jobs, and daily lives behind to answer it.

Large truck extraction is a reminder of the skill, teamwork, and dedication these men and women bring to every emergency scene.

Heavy vehicle extrications are never simple. They require precision, patience, and the ability to work under pressure to safely free victims and protect everyone on scene. Proud of our crew for their professionalism and commitment to serving the community when it matters most.

Today, Lancaster County Fire Rescue proudly stood alongside our local law enforcement partners in honoring the brave officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty for Peace Officers Memorial Day during National Police Week. 💙🇺🇸

We are especially proud of our own Eddie Medina, who paid tribute through the powerful sound of the bagpipes in remembrance of the fallen heroes whose courage, service, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Multiple agencies and volunteers worked together over the past several days in the search for a missing individual in Lancaster County. The individual was located alive and medical care was provided by fire rescue and Lancaster County EMS on scene.
We extend our appreciation to the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office SC, South Carolina Department of Natural Resources K9 Unit, SLED K9 and Aviation teams, SC Foothills Search & Rescue K-9 Team, Lancaster County Coroner's Office Mounted Response Unit, South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services, and all who assisted.

The individual was last known to have gone hunting early Sunday morning and was reported missing Monday evening.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this coordinated effort.
