Your Work Counts Even When You Hate It

Have you ever been given an assignment that you absolutely dreaded?

Early in my career, I walked into a manufacturing plant filled with labor strife, difficult employee relations issues, and broken relationships. What I thought was a great career opportunity quickly became one of my toughest assignments.

I could have simply put in my time and moved on. Instead, I chose to tackle the challenges head-on.

What started as an assignment I hated became one of the most rewarding experiences of my career.

Ecclesiastes 9:10 reminds us to do whatever work is placed before us with all our might.

Christian leaders, sometimes the assignments we dislike the most become the very experiences God uses to develop us into better leaders.
