Our designer is on vacation but we needed to get this posted 🤷🏻‍♂️

ℹ️ Leaves falling onto private property must be bagged for yard waste collection.

🍂 Only leaves on sidewalks and the public right of way can be raked into the street the day before/day of street cleaning.

🙅‍♂️ Leaves from your yard may NOT be raked into the street.

🍁 Leaves can be left in your yard if you want!

🥬 Lancaster City residents can pick up FREE yard waste bags from the following locations:

City Hall • 120 N. Duke St.
Operations Center • 225 Riverside Ave.
Recycling Drop Off Center • 850 New Holland Ave.
Treasury Office • 39 W. Chestnut St.
Water Bureau • 150 Pitney Rd.

Trash Collection Update from Penn Waste: Due to an equipment failure, residents on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday trash pickup schedules who live on small streets or alleys may see their pickups delayed by one day. All pickups should be completed by the end of the day Saturday.

Due to forecasted excessive heat, Penn Waste will begin trash and recycling pick up at 4:00AM for the remainder of the week (July 10–12, 2024.) The collection schedule is not changing. Please be sure to have your bagged trash and recycling at the curb prior to this time.

Penn Waste is unable to complete Sector 9 today. Any customers who were missed today will be collected first thing Thursday morning.

February 19 is the third Saturday of the month, meaning the Recycling Drop Off Center will be open from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.! Learn more about the Recycling Drop Off Center at www.cityoflancasterpa.com/recycling-center.

Due to potentially icy conditions, Penn Waste will begin trash and recycling collection at 3 a.m. on Friday, February 4. Friday customers should place their trash and recycling at the curb this evening.

Last call! The final day of Christmas tree collection is Friday January 21st. Please remove all bags, ornaments, lights, stands, and tinsel. Place your tree at the curbside the night before your regular collection day.
