This week, members of your Pasco County Professional Firefighters attended the 82nd Annual Florida Professional Firefighters Convention in Jacksonville.

We would like to thank our hosts, the The Jacksonville Association of Fire Fighters Local 122, for putting on a great convention and providing a warm welcome throughout the week.

Pictured are the delegates and alternates representing District 13, working together to help shape the future of the fire service and advocate for Florida’s professional firefighters.

Our hearts are with our brothers and sisters at Dunedin Fire Rescue during this incredibly difficult time.

One of their firefighters and his wife, a local nurse, tragically lost their 2 year old daughter this past week. A fund has been established to help support the family as they navigate this unimaginable loss.

We ask our members, friends, and community partners to consider making a donation. No contribution is too small, and every dollar can help ease some of the burdens this family is facing during their time of grief.

Caden is the son of a Pasco County Sheriff’s deputy and a big fan of fire trucks and first responders. Our crew enjoyed spending time with Caden and his family, showing off the engine, answering questions, and helping make his special day even more memorable.

This week, members of the Pasco County Professional Firefighters are attending the 82nd Annual Florida Professional Firefighters Convention in Jacksonville, hosted by the The Jacksonville Association of Fire Fighters Local 122.

Throughout the week, firefighters from across the state will come together to discuss issues impacting the fire service, share ideas and best practices, participate in training and educational opportunities, and help shape the future of our profession.

We appreciate the opportunity to represent our members, learn from our brothers and sisters across Florida, and bring valuable knowledge back to Pasco County.

On Saturday evening, units from Battalion 1 C Shift responded to a structure fire on Turner Loop in Shady Hills.

Crews arrived on scene and quickly went to work, bringing the incident under control while ensuring the safety of those involved. The fire remains under investigation.

Great work by all personnel for their coordinated response and dedication to protecting our community.
