The Charis Center - a global village school will be starting rehearsals for "McQuadle: A Dragon's Tale" January 4, 2016. If you have, or know, students in grades 5-12 (ages 11-17) who are interested in participating there will be a general meeting on January 4 (3pm-5pm) to sign up for off-stage roles, and/or select an audition time for Thursday, January 07 (3pm-5pm), There are 23 total speaking parts available (big and small)!

All rehearsals will be Monday and Thursday 3pm-5pm (except MLK Day)
First performance will be either February 19 or February 20.
There is a $50 participation fee

McQuadle: A Dragon Tale Synopsis:

You’ll find tons of silliness packed into this charming comedy that has a little something for everyone and even a nice moral. McQuadle is a dragon who wants to know his purpose in life, and he will go to almost any length to find it out — even if it means visiting an Evil Queen who lives in a castle on top of the hill. When he arrives, McQuadle learns that the Queen has lured him there for her own secret purposes, and she doesn’t intend on letting him get back home at all. But McQuadle promised his mother he’d be home for dinner! Three storytellers with crazy personalities of their own lead the audience through this fun adventure that includes audience participation, laugh-out-loud silly jokes and sight gags.

The Charis Center is offering some great classes this fall for ages 11-17!

Writing I - Mon/Wed 2:30pm-3:30pm
Choir - Tues 4pm-5pm
Music History - Wed 1:00pm-2:30pm
Spanish - Wed 5:00pm-6:00pm
Art - 6:00pm-7:00pm
Contemporary Dance - Thurs 4:00pm-5:00pm

Each class is $90 plus a $10 materials fee
Sessions run for 8 weeks
Discounts if for 4 or more classes per session

The Charis Center is also audition for the touring ensembles in Dance and Drama. These groups perform in the community (schools, senior centers, etc).
