Tri-State 1 Protective Services, LLC (and our training entity, Tri-State One Training Group) is a small minority owned company based in Prince George’s County, Maryland. Our vision is to build and maintain a professional business offering security support services, training and investigations. We are not just another security company and our courses consist of more than dictated PowerPoint slides.

Our President & Owner has over 25 years of law enforcement/security/training experience with corporations such as, Washington Medstar Hospital Police, Medstar Rehabilitation Police, Howard University Campus Police, Georgetown University Campus Police, District of Columbia Library Police, Master Security, Coastal International Security, Jenkins Security, Six Flags American and Watkins Security. As a sworn Police Officer, he has also been employed by the DC Governemnt CJA as a criminal Investigator, DC Department of Corrections, University Park Police and the City of New Carrollton Police Department.

Job Summary

Tri-State 1 Protective Services is currently seeking experienced security professionals with active Maryland Guard Cards and Maryland Handgun permits for a commercial contract. Candidates must also pass all applicable background checks and drug screenings.

Responsibilities and Duties

General responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Securing premises and personnel by ensuring the safety of employees and customers
Monitoring surveillance equipment
Observing shoppers and identifying any irregular activity
Deterring and apprehending shoplifters
Providing customer service when necessary
Handling crisis and emergency situations with confidence in accordance with post orders, ensuring all safety and emergency procedures are followed
Regulating access and egress activities
Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will be assertive, intuitive, physically fit, a strong leader, and demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

All candidates should satisfy the following criteria:

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Maryland Security Guard License
Maryland Handgun Permit
Access to reliable transportation (this does NOT include public transportation; Metro Bus, Metro Rail)
Prior experience required
NOTE: Any candidate in need of a Maryland Security Guard License or Maryland Wear & Carry Permit may obtain one through our training center. Please submit all training inquiries via email.

If you are licensed and have a passion in keeping communities safe. Please come in fill out application. On the spot interviews are being held Monday March 28th 2022 to Friday April 1st 2022 6pm to 8pm. All morning schedule interviews are booked.

Tri-State One Training Group will be holding an end of the year event for fi****ms training. Also the first of the year event for fi****ms training. Beginning the first weekend of the New Year and every weekend there after, in the month January only, all HQL Class for the entire month will be 75.00. That’s right just 75.00.

This include the classroom,range, ammo, and targets. The MD wear and carry class which is 16 hrs long for the initial class will be 200.00 and 100.00 for renewal. This course also include the classroom,range, ammo, and targets. Don’t wait to register for your class, as the weekend courses are filling fast.

Stay tuned as we are bringing back scenario base training with real world scenarios in fi****ms training and what to do when you are faced with an intruder who enters your home. This is a dynamic course and will help you to better protect yourself and love ones.

Back by popular demand. Tri-State1 Training Group will be offering Taser Certifications for both Officers and Civilians Saturday March 27th at 10am. The class is filling up soon. We are currently following CDC Covid19 protocol, So all students and officers must wear a mask. If you do not have mask we will kindly provide one for you.
