The wait is almost over—ScrapFest is this weekend!

Come experience incredible scrap metal art, meet talented artists, shop local vendors, enjoy live music, grab a bite to eat, and spend the day in Old Town.

Friedland Industries, Inc. will be closed Friday, May 29th to allow our staff to attend funeral services for our longtime General Manager, Rob Lather.

Rob was a dedicated employee for over 45 years. He was a Jack of all trades and a master of many here at Friedland. From trucking and dispatch to equipment repairs and advice. If there was a problem, Rob had a solution. His vast wealth of knowledge and quiet strength and presence will be greatly missed by many.

Wow, let's hear it for Friedland Industries, Inc. and everyone who made a donation on Document Destruction Day 2026! It was wonderful to see some of the Friedland crew when they dropped off a donation of $1,500. Thanks to all!

Our new shredding area opens today! We have parking spaces along the Southern side of our facility, down the short drive between us and Lansing Ice and Fuel.

Today is Document Destruction Day from 8:00-2:00 rain or shine!

Document Destruction Day supporting Mid-Michigan Recovery Services Inc. is this Saturday, April 18th, from 8:00-2:00!!

The drop off location is the same as previous years, located at the overhead door just South of our truck scale at our facility off Center St. (the address is 314 E. Maple St. Lansing, MI 48906). Please pull up to the door and our staff will be out to assist you. Do not pull into the building!

We are also excited to announce our new confidential shredding area will be opened on Wednesday, April 22nd, for drop off customers. We will provide more information and signage to the new area after Document Destruction Day!
