Earlier this week, PA 39 (formerly HB 4608) was signed into law by Governor Whitmer. The law creates a licensure framework and governing body for dietitian nutritionists in Michigan. The bill will be effective 90 days after the Legislature adjourns sine die for 2024. This legislation brings Michigan into alignment with standards for 48 other states!

Some special guest joined the House Appropriations Committee at their meeting this morning! The Association of Michigan Independent Colleges and Universities is in Lansing today in support of the Michigan Tuition Grant and the Michigan Achievement Scholarship.
