Here are a few cool old pictures of my Great Grandpa's excavating company from the 1940s through the late 1960s. A few generations later, and with a huge passion for heavy equipment, I decided to risk it all and start an excavating company. The old timers were a different breed. These are just a few pieces of his equipment. Old iron is just bad ass! I really wish I could have gotten to know him before he passed. I've heard some wild stories (he wasn't afraid of much and could do anything).

On a side note, he also had a sense of humor. The first picture is one of his dump trucks. On the front fender is a hand painted lemon and says Ask me! Needless to say, he never bought another Ford truck. I have a copy of the 3 page letter he wrote to Ford. It's definitely a good laugh!
