Who doesn’t love seeing the mold plates right off the mill?
Here we have a production steel tool, and a prototype aluminum mold. These molds are going through 3D finishing topside, next steps are side work to finish them out.

Production Mold tooling isn’t just machining plates, often it’s the small sub inserts that take you time to process.
Quest has utilized its different machining departments to efficiently process these small details. We can utilize vertical or horizontal machining centers, 5 axis centers etc to process these quickly and efficiently.

When you build as many tools as Quest, it can be overwhelming handling all the small details, like sub inserts.
Quest utilizes 5 Axis CNC machines to handle finishing sub inserts complete. This eliminates multiple operations and reduces lead time producing these details.
