The cameras were rolling, the creativity was flowing, and the students delivered!

The cameras have been packed away, the projects have been completed, but the skills and experiences gained through Project CREATE 2026 will continue long after the program ends.

Over the course of 4 weeks, students challenged themselves, discovered new talents, collaborated with their peers, and gained hands-on experience in photography, graphic design, videography, and digital media. Every project represented more than just a finished product. It reflected creativity, growth, and the confidence to try something new.

As we continue looking back at this year's program, we're excited to share more of the incredible work our students created and celebrate the achievements that made Project CREATE 2026 such a success.

Week 2 of Project CREATE 2026 kept the momentum going with more hands-on learning, creative projects, and skill-building activities. Students continued exploring the world of digital media while also getting their first introduction to videography, learning the basics of camera operation, shot composition, and visual storytelling.

From collaborating with peers to developing new creative skills, our students are gaining valuable experience and discovering exciting opportunities in the media arts industry.

🎬✨ Project CREATE 2026 is officially underway in East Baton Rouge!

Week one was filled with creativity, collaboration, and hands-on learning as students jumped into real-world media projects. From developing new skills to exploring their creative potential, our participants have already made an incredible start to the summer.

St. Helena Parish Schools Supt. Dr. Kelli Joseph, School Board President Linda Chaney, and SHCCA Principal Nedra Wilson kicked presented learners and instructors from our Media Arts class with a $1000 check in recognition of their winning the Louisiana School Board Association (LSBA) 2026 video contest.
